THE SCANDALS
There’s a rock’n’roll revolution going on in Berlin – and The Scandals DJ team (aka Steve Morell & Emma Eclectic) not only bring it to you first, best and always, but are behind some of the most radical remixes in this new ‘Deniere-Garde’ of New Wave, Punk Rock and Electro. The Scandals stand apart from today’s breed of laptop DJs and turntablists. They are true performers and musicians in their own right. Scandals remixes give cutting edge electro the guts of punk rock and the dancefloor treatment to the new breed of guitar music.
The Scandals’ remix career came to an unofficial start with an electrified guitar remix of Boy George’s “Miss Me Blind” (Boy George is quoted as saying “(…) they were even the best guest DJ’s the London’s NagNagNag club ever had!”). Not satisfied to re-invent classic 80s hits, they are producing remixes for artists all over Europe, from Pink Grease, Punx Soundcheck, Frank Müller’s Beroshima, Atomizer, Bruder + Kronstädter feat. Nina Hagen, Junesex, Miss Yetti, Lola Angst and The Vanishing.
Their signature style is jumping off the dance floor; out from behind the B-sides and bonus tracks - and into your record store!
